Site Foreman

My name is Corey Anderson, I am a Site Foreman with Wescor Contracting, and I have had the pleasure of being a part of the Wescor team for the past 14 years. My career in the trade began at the age of 15 boarding houses, and after about a year, I applied for a position with Wescor. Shortly after starting with Wescor, I was offered an apprenticeship and started trade school at Camosun College. After trade school, I left the trade briefly to try something new, but quickly realized that I missed working at Wescor. The scope of the projects, company culture and opportunities to advance myself in the company brought me back to a position here. Since returning, I’ve had the opportunity to advance to a Foreman position and have run some great projects. Management of larger projects started with The Lyra Phase 1 project, a 9-story multi-family condominium build, and recently, we completed the new Galaxy Motors and RV facility in Langford.

Wescor is a local, family-owned company, and working for them has been a family affair. Not only have they become a part of my extended family, but I am also lucky enough to be coworkers with my father, brother, and uncle. My favorite aspect of the wall and ceiling trade, is the variety of the scope of work. At Wescor we do everything from steel stud, drywall, and acoustic ceilings, to specialty wall and ceiling finishes. I love getting to use new products and systems, and building anything that’s a challenge.

Outside of work, I love spending time with family, especially my wife and very active daughter. She keeps me busy and makes watching football on Sundays very challenging!
